By Example (1 Corinthians 6:7)

Actually, then, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?

1 Corinthians 6:7

Brief thought this morning. Among everyone, believers included, there will be times when I am owed something that is not given me. There will be times when people will take what is rightly mine. Paul’s exhortation is that I should prefer to be wronged by and forgive my brother or sister in Christ over giving non-believers reason to think ill of Christ. Paul is not telling me to go out and be wronged all the time, rather he is saying that people, believers included, are going to do things wrong and it is better to show non-believers what forgiveness and unconditional love look like by example.
